ABOUT JENNY
JENNY LEE MITCHELL was born in New York City and attended The Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied theater composition and performance. She then studied classical voice in Germany where she remained for over 10 years singing in major operetta and musical theatre productions throughout Europe. She then met David Shiner and began assisting him and delving into more intense studies of clown and vaudeville. After moving back to New York in 2005 she began creating her own characters and collaborating with various vaudeville artists before forming Theater The with fellow musician, singer and vaudevillian Aldo Perez. She performs regularly with Theater The's The Renaldo The Ensemble singing and playing the clarinet, where she also serves as co-artistic director. In 2009 Jenny began directing. This year her directing work includes the one woman piece Old Dog April by Emily Mitchell and the Greek tragedy Rhesus, for The American Thymele Theater.
